The Rhode Island Civic Chorale and Orchestra (RICCO) is proud to announce its 15th Annual Collegiate Vocal Competition.
 

As part of its mission to encourage the vocal arts in the New England region, RICCO holds an annual Collegiate Vocal Competition which is open to all vocal students, undergraduate or graduate, currently studying at any institution of higher learning in New England.
 

We will again be inviting applications from all levels and from all voice parts to compete for a spot as a featured soloist in a performance during the Chorale’s 2024-2025 season along with a stipend of $500.
  

The Collegiate Vocal Competition will take place Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at The Music Mansion, 88 Meeting Street, Providence, RI 02906.  Competitors are asked to prepare an aria or art song which they will present before a panel of distinguished vocal faculty who will act as judges.

We hope that aspiring young New England vocalists will consider availing themselves of this excellent opportunity to display their accomplishments in competition with other young vocal artists and potentially win a spot working with our distinguished Music Director, Dr. Joshua W. Rohde, as a featured soloist in a public performance with our well-established chorus and professional orchestra. The application deadline is February 23, 2024.
